Presently I am using the CC version of all of the Adobe® tools, however I have used virtually every iteration.
I have extensive experience working in the following languages. Though I have worked with other languages such as C#, VB, Perl, Python, and Objective C.
The following is a list of skills that I use frequently in development and design of websites and products that do not fit under the previously shown categories.
While working at PAI I designed and developed several responsive web sites and applications running in either the .NET environment or MS Sharepoint 2010. All of the applications that we developed were ADA (508) compliant as per the requirement of the government. In order to reduce development time we used a responsive web framework to allow web sites to display across multiple devices without the need for large amounts of recoding. In order to quickly build mobile applications acroos multiple platforms, I used Cordova with various plugins to achieve native functionality and Adobe's AIR mobile packager, along with HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery.
I worked with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to design and build several state agency web sites - including:
and several others...
My part in the previously mentioned web sites was design and front-end work, though I also developed several mobile applications for various departments within Pennsylvania government; including:
Members 1st is a multi-billion dollar credit union located in Southcentral PA. As the lead web designer - I was responsible for designing and maintining members1st.org, the companies online reference and marketing tool. All layout, graphics design, and development was my responsiblitiy. The most notible successes while handling this project was the initial redesign - which brought the web site into ADA compliance and reduced the overall per page size by 80%, and the second redeisgn which reduce the sites overall size again by 15%, all while bringing the site into a responsive framework - which allowed members (customers) to use various desktop and mobile devices, all while displaying the content as though it was created for their device.
My job allowed me to use my development and design skills to create interactive games, training, and vidoe experiences used for evnts as well as internally. I also designed many of the printed materials used byt the organization including but not limited to posters, handounts, coloring sheets, and pamphlets.
For a short period I worked with JPL Creative on a contract basis. The contract ended due to extenuating circumstances (primarily lack of renewal of a contract). While I worked with JPL I was responsible for several projects that involved Hershey Medical Center, Hershey Foods, Tapco, and the WWE. Projects ranged from web sites to interactive content for monthly electronic publications.
As the Lead Multimedia & Web Application Developer, I was responsible for creating new and innovative ways to convey ever changing medical insurance information to the staff of Empire Medicare, as well as to Medicare subscribers and providers. Methods employed to fulfill the requirements of my job at Empire include the use of Flash, Digital Video, and Audio Production. In order to collect information and provide other functionality to applications and training modules that I created, I also used several scripting a programming languages including ASP, ASP.NET, VB Script, JavaScript, Actionscript, Java, Cold-Fusion, and PHP. During my time at Empire I earned the recognition of the President and CEO, and many of the directors of the company by producing exciting, engaging, and entertaining applications and training modules. I have also been recognized by the company as being their most innovative developer, was had allowed me to earn several awards for excellence, as well as the nickname "Jim All-Media". I have been credited with single handedly eliminating Empire Medicare's reliance on the use of outside development & multimedia production.
